Job Description
- Assist and diagnose patients who have consistent ear problems that affect their hearing and balance.
- Evaluate hearing of patients with ear abnormalities and/or auditory disorders through case history.
- Clinical observation and diagnostic tests of auditory function, including physiologic testing (OAEs, AABR, ABR, immittance audiometry, acoustic reflex, tone decay, ETD), speech recognition, and speech discrimination tests.
- Behavioural testing, conventional audiometry (BOA, VRA, CPA).
- Administers and interprets electrophysiological tests including AABR and ABR, ENG (balance testing).
- Rehabilitation services including hearing aide selection, fitting, orientation and counseling (provides ear mold fitting for purposes of hearing protection and hearing aid).
- Case histories and patient reports.
- Assists the Chief Technologist by ensuring the smooth and efficient operation and work.
- Determines communication problems related to hearing disability.
- Perform other duties as assign
Essential Experience:
4 years experience as an Assistant Audiology Technician at HMC plus one year course in Audiology
Language Skills: (Bilingual -English & Arabic)
Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
