Important Changes for Traveling to the UK: From 2 June 2025**, expired Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) will no longer be accepted for travel to the UK. You must obtain an EVisa to demonstrate your permission to enter the UK.
Before traveling internationally, you should
1. Set up access to your eVisa by creating a UKVI account, if you haven’t done so already.
2. Ensure that your current travel document (passport) is linked to your UKVI account.
3. Keep your expired BRP card, as it may be needed for future applications to stay in the UK. It may also be useful for your personal records. If you have a physical immigration document, you can continue to use it until it expires.
**Important Note:** Your travel document (passport) must be linked to your eVisa account.
From 15 July 2025 primary applicants for the following UK visas will only receive an eVisa (no 90-day vignette in their passport):
Global Business Mobility, International Sports persons, Skilled Workers (including Health and Care), and Temporary Workers.
Dependents and children will still receive both a vignette (sticker) and an eVisa.
