Qualification and Experience Requirements
BSc. Nursing from an Institute accredited by the Directorate of Medical Education and Kerala Nursing Council, with a minimum clinical experience of one year in a hospital. She/he will be responsible for carrying out phlebotomy and documentation of data at field sites and in hospitals. The candidate should be willing to travel to hospitals, health centres and houses as part of field visits. Under appropriate guidance, the candidate is also expected to support clinical and laboratory activities including processing biological samples and handle basic scientific equipments. The job also involves manual and computerized data management. The Research Nurse has to interact with study participants and their caregivers/relatives directly and through telephone. Working knowledge of Malayalam and English is necessary. Knowing other south Indian languages would be an added advantage. The Research Nurse will be part of a multidisciplinary scientific team and should be a team player along with other laboratory research staff.
